SHED 2

Since its origin as an urban setting, shed 2 at Costa Pier has been devoted to cutting-edge, contemporary artistic exhibitions. Artists undergoing an important period of maturity and consolidation are invited. Accordingly, shed 2 has become a benchmark within their personal careers.

Its track record for this activity has been worthy of several distinctions and awards, such as the National Prize for Plastic Arts from the Generalitat de Catalunya in 1990, the Catalan Association of Arts Critics Award in 1991, the Prize for the Best Catalogue for Spring Photography in 1992 and the Bonaplata Prize from the Generalitat de Catalunya in 1993. All of them declared this hall one of the foremost for this kind of cutting-edge exhibitions.

Creators set up their installations in this building. Some of their works of art enrich the Port of Tarragona Art Collection.
